CPNE Help Please!!

Published

Hey-

I'm taking the Excelsior college CPNE pretty darn soon and I was wondering if anyone out there has recently attended the CPNE- (Chambersburg anyone...anyone...) Any useful info to offer would be great. Also- What is the grid I keep hearing so much about. Can anyone help me out- maybe send me one?? Thank so much.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Hey- I don't have the fake wound, no, but I'm planning on following the wound care nurse while she makes her rounds tomorrow. So I'm hoping for some really good info.

I took the CPNE in Albany last year and passed the first time - I hadn't been in an acute care setting for many years so was TERRIFIED! I purchased the CPNE Video from Excelsior and the CPNE video from http://www.robscpne.com/

I would not have passed without both of these tools

Good Luck

oh honey no ...this wound care lab has a step by step approach to it....it is a sterile wound simulation....thats the problem with this test experience will kill you...you need to set up a lab at home and practice all this stuff the ec way and believe me the ec way is different than what you will practice on the floor. this may be good for practicing putting on sterile gloves but my advise is you stay away from anyone trying to teach you anything about labs, wounds or assessments . get the carjack and break it down and find out exactly what is expected of you....there is all kinds f material out there to help you...this is a very expensive test and you dont want to repeat it...

have you taken a cpne workshop??? i took lynns twice ..the first time when i just started studying and the last several weeks before my cpne....
