I am about to register for the Excelsior CPNE and so many posts are freaking me out! Does anyone have up to date information on a couple of workshops that would be beneficial? I live in Colorado and if anyone knows of any out here that would be great!

Unfortunately you're probably going to have to travel for a workshop. Also, be careful and ensure that they have updated their information to the 22nd edition — it's a bigger change this year than it has been from the previous edition changes.

Thanks Nursesuzy22! I am so confused as to which program to use as I see so many on older posts but none of them have a current 2016 post on evaluations for the listed workshops.
I used TCN (which was a total waste of money), I never used their study guides and tested out of most of the excelsior classes but two which I enrolled in the online classes. Either way I would of passed on my own or in the online course. My FCCA's were a breeze. There are so many negative posts on not passing the CPNE that I am very concerned that I may have chosen the wrong program. YIKES!!!
The only workshop that can guarantee that it's teaching to the 22nd edition is Excelsior's workshop. There are big changes between editions this year.

I would wait until October 1st when Sherry Taylor has updated her information on their workshops/study guides/supplies. I have called them recently. I am also just signing up and was surprised (after doing months of research on what I was going to do when I DID become eligable for the 21st edition) to find that we are now responsible for what seems like ALOT more than before. I could just be overwhelmed, confused or otherwise just frustrated. Hope this helps!!
Thanks, I think I will wait and register for the CPNE October 1st. I have seen a lot of good information on Sherry. I just downloaded our CPNE and it looks like the workshops and online courses with excelsior are not as expensive as previously thought. Thinking about doing them both.

The 21st edition EC workshop was good. The 22nd edition I took in April 22,2017 was a nightmare because they changed the AOC and tried to have you practice AOC AND do skills. I went home and cried all day. I went there to use the mannequins and the instructors didnt answer our Q because they said this was a review and we should know all this stuff. It was 300 dollars and although some people said it helped them. There were people at that workshop that had failed the CPNE once. I just took it and failed it . The 1st time pass rate is 10-20%.. NO WORKSHOP OR ONLINE COURSE WILL TESCH YOU ABOUT THE PRESSURE COOKER ENVIRONMENT THAT YOU FACE . The second time around , I will be more prepared because I know what's to come. People have passed this exam , but it won't be on the first time. There were 8 of us . 1 left the following day; she was NOT ready. 5 left Saturday, and I think there was only one left on Sunday

The first time pass rate is like 69% not 10-20% like you said, which is not fantastic but when I started it was 62% so things appear to be improving. Excelsior College | Nursing Lots of people pass the clinical, just as lots fail. Its all up to you on whether you put in the time and practice and get your nerves under control. I'm looking forward to it!!! I've been told there are outside workshops that are better than the excelsior one, so I will probably do one o fthem and a care plan class.
one of the CE's at the testing site told me that the first time pass rate was 17% and this was in the parking lot walking to our cars. And then she said" but you didn't hear that from me ".
