*I want to order IV bag, mini bag & tubing--I jimmy rigged what I have from my set but I doubt what I am getting for a drip rate is a true rate since this tubbing seems odd. Anyone have a suggested site? I really can't get anything from work, all our stuff gets used unless pt cx surgery.
Try nurse-mart.com. From the checking I did they had the best prices overall. I ordered 4x4's for wound practice and a few practice vials. I double checked ebay and couldn't find things cheaper. I will say they seem to be a little slow in shipping. They received my order August 6th and I don't have it yet but I'm not in a huge hurry. Shipping was around $7.00.

Got the 4X4's in from nurse-mart and they're 8 ply, not 12 ply (12 ply used at CPNE). It doesn't say that on the website and I didn't bother to double check. Found what I needed on Amazon for about 6 bucks, free shipping. Will still order more secondary IV bags b/c they're about $2/each.

Thanks for the update! I am looking at pocketnurse.com right now for my IV Supplies, and they also have a inject-pad for IM & SQ for $21. Did these usually come in the CPNE skills kit? I will check out amazon now.
No inject pad with the skills kit that I'm aware of but I didn't get mine from EC. It does come with the wound I do believe. My skills kit came from RUE (book publisher) as part of their expensive orifice package deal. I'll be checking out pocketnurse!! Thanks for the info!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006GDACS these were the 4X4's I bought. They shipped the very next morning. They're 12 ply but they seem kinda thin as opposed to the ones that are individually packaged like 2 to a pack. I'm just making it work.
Due to Federal Regs... nursemart can no longer send out iv solutions. I used to get mine there too. It was cheeper than using the script I got from my PCP. But now I go straight through the Pharmacy. If you are frendly with your PCP you can get a script for them too....but they are not cheep.

Tina, have you heard of recycled IV tubing getting stiff and not working right (or minibags/tubing getting stuck to primary tubing??) I can only get a drip rate of 25-30 gtt/min with my tubing I bought from another student, and I think I am the 3rd owner on this tubing. What would be the best replacement, Baxter products?
Off topic, but I hope you weathered the quake ok!! See you in the care plans shortly :)
