Hello! I am a pediatric nurse taking my CPN exam in about ~10 weeks from today (Sept 27, 2016) and am doing an individual study. I was wondering if any of you guys had any resources or feedback on exactly how to study the content each day in a 10-12 week period leading up to my exam day (first week of december)? Similar to what third party vendors provide for students taking the nclex to pass (ex. kaplan providing students a structured way of how to study content every day within a 6 week timeline).
Resources I have to help me:
- Wong's Nursing Care of Infants and Children 10th edition
- Society of Pediatric Nurses Pediatric Nursing Certification Review 3rd Edition
Any other resources you'd suggest?
I work night shift and I was planning on studying 3 times a week and skimming things here and there on down time during my shifts, but want to focus on heavy studying during my days off (I work in a critical care setting, things can be busy at times).
I feel like I have everything, but I would really like a timeline on how to break up studying the content every day leading up to the test. Thank you!

Do practice questions. Most everything relates to develop questions, even if it is talking about a medication, develop comes into play. They won't come out and ask what stage of development is XYZ, but they may ask something about isolation and needs, or best way to give medication to a 2 year old. Some are more difficult. There is an exam guide that I would look. The questions are not just memorization rather application.
