covid-19 response

I really want to help in New York City, however, I am a LVN. Not sure if they are looking for LVN/LPN's. Andrew Cuomo has a press conference daily. He is begging for nurses, but it is not easy to find information online. Can someone please help me?

I'm in the same boat as I washed out second year nursing school due to medical reasons. Most of my cohort is now in limbo as they don't get preceptorships anymore and the college is trying to figure out how to graduate them.

I've got a current Oregon LPN and so far everywhere I look it seems like they are begging for help but just RN help.

The best I can say is sign up for SERV in your state or look here https://www1.nyc.gov/site/helpnownyc/give-help/volunteer.page

I've registered with the medical reserve corps and SERV in Oregon but so far we haven't been hit hard and they only seem to need RN's.

There is a website: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home

Scroll to the bottom. You can click on "How you can help" It'll take you to a page that has a survey for healthcare professionals. You can input your credentials (LPN is listed) and they will contact you if you are needed.

Not sure if that's the official way to volunteer, I'm sure there are other avenues you can take...but this is one way! Hope that helps!
