Hello everyone, Im wondering if anyone has went through this and how did you handle it. I work in a corrections facility in Ca and was out for a positive COVID test in Dec. They are not paying me due to my classification of limited intermittant, although I work full time hours. Can I refuse to work COVID units or must I still float where they tell me to? So disheartning and I feel so unvalued.....

Part time employees where I work weren't eligible for covid pay either, which sucks. As far as refusing COVID units I guess you can refuse, people have refused at my facility with a wide range of consequences. If you tested positive for COVID doesn't it make sense for you to work with COVID patients as opposed to someone who hasn't tested positive? I've been stuck with the COVID patients too because I had it a few months back, it's okay though, it keeps someone else out of the line of fire. Do what you have to do though.
