Hi! Starting at UTA on Monday 8/19 and feeling pretty excited and nervous about going back to school. Financial aid was disbursed yesterday. My question is, when will the courses show up on blackboard?

My courses usually come up the weekend before classes start. It depends on with the instructor decides to release it.

My courses don't show til the day of class. That was the way it was at both my community college and university. Unless someone who happens to go to your school happens to reply you won't get an exact answer. My school has it posted on blackboard, otherwise just call the school real quick! :)

Rarely, the instructor will open the course up early. A&P opened up for me almost 2 weeks before the scheduled start, although I couldn't take any tests early. Still, it was very nice to be able to look through the material, study, and get ready to test.
I had one course, though, not open up until the say it was scheduled to, but late in the day. Apparently, the teacher was lazy about opening the course or forgot. Wasn't that big of a deal but all day I stressed about why I couldn't access it.

It seems with the new blackboard layout, courses are not being opened up earlier than the actual start date. All my spring and summer courses, I had access about 1 week prior, but all my fall courses are not available until day 1. Kinda sucks as I like to try and get my ducks in a row prior to class beginning.

My fall classes (starting 8/12) opened the Weds. before. I think it depends on the professor more than the bb layout.
Thanks guys! I guess then it depends of the teacher. This class I'm taking which starts officially today, was opened this past Thursday night. A lot of people have posted their assignments already. It's nice to be able to do it early.

Get ahead when you can... It will help alleviate some of the anxiety when you have several assignments due all at the same time (week1 Jr2)...
