Countdown: 2 Days Until the TEAS

Published

Hi, I'm preparing to take on the dreaded TEAS exam this Saturday and I was wanting to know if anyone had any last minute prep ideas or advice to offer. I've been using McGraw Hill's TEAS practice tests and the ATI Study Guide to prepare. I'm not sure how well these are helping; my scores have been anywhere from the low-70s to mid-90s on the practice exams. Has anyone else had success using these study materials? I was also wanting to know if there are any breaks between the different sections while taking the exam for quick trips to the ladies room or for snacking... I'd appreciate any and all responses thrown my way. Thanks! :)

Good Luck!! The place I am taking it says they allow one small break, so I guess it depends on the testing site.

It wouldn't hurt to ask them for a break. I read from places that by taking breaks it helped them relax and be prepared for the next section.

Thanks! The exam wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I scored well :) As far as breaks go, they didn't allow any breaks as a group but did allow individuals to take bathroom breaks during the exam. Only one male and one female were allowed out of the test area at a time and the time you used in the bathroom was completely on you... (I never had enough time remaining to think about taking a break.) There weren't any breaks between sections either. We went straight into the next section once the timer was up. That was a bit frustrating. It would have helped to have a few moments to relax before starting the next hour or so of testing.

Congrats on your great score.

im taking the teas test in about less than two weeks. Hopefully I can also say that about the test being not too bad

This is so helpful but I'm is soooooo lol stressed I'm taking my in 3weeks

Good morning! I am taking the TEAS on 10/10.....I am looking for a FREE site to take practice tests....Can anyone help???

I know free would be nice but I would highly reccomend you spend the money on the ATI Practice test online. They give a great indication of how the questions are asked on the actual exam.

Thank you very much! I hope that your exam went well and that you are pleased with your score! :)

Best of luck to all of you who are getting ready to take your exam and I hope all that have taken the exam are pleased with their scores!

UPDATE: Just received my acceptance letter in the mail! I'll be starting spring 2015! So long social life and sanity, hello hours of studying and gallons upon gallons of coffee! :brb:
