Hello, I didn’t see a forum for College of the sequoias applicant Pool for fall 2021. I wanted to start this one and see if we can keep each other sane during the waiting period. Good luck to everybody applying!

Hello! If we check the MyGiant COS portal and our degreeworks lists our major as nursing and we have a registration window which also lists our major as nursing, does this mean we got in?

I don’t think so because mine says that too and I got denied.

I believe based on the paperwork, you have until 4/21 to complete all requirements and accept the seat.

No the letter just stated that there were a large amount of qualified applicants. But I know it was because they go based off points and I didn’t have very many.

Hi, you guys! I am in Fresno, and I got my acceptance letter! :))))) Congrats to everyone who got in! For those who didn’t, don’t give up! Keep trying!! You’ll get in eventually- hopefully the next cycle. xo

Thank you! I told my parents, and I almost cried! LOL. I only had 76.5 points— this was my second time applying. I applied last cycle with ~70 points, I think, and didn’t get in. Since that denial, I was able to obtain my CNA license and acquire work hours for extra points for this cycle.

Does anyone know how possible it will be to get in as the 6th alternate? Would you say there's a good chance or not at all?

I wouldn’t put my money on it, I’m the 15th alternate (pretty much have no hope) and I still want to attend the zoom meeting they mentioned in the letter. How many points did you apply with if you don’t mind sharing?

It is totally possible! Just depends on how many turn down the spot. I’m still anxiously waiting for mine! How many points did you have?
