Corpsman to nurse

hey all im a navy corpsman currently , and iam intrested in becoming a nurse, just wondering what i need to do to prepare my self and what classes i have to take. I have 3 1/2 years experince with patient care working in wards like postpartum...yeah real manly but i learned alot, Med/surg, various clinic settings doing sutures and basic sick call stuff like sutures, wart removal and the sniffles, and currently i work in a pediactric clinic. Im really intrested in NICU/ICU kinda of stuff and i just want to know how to get started in the carrer.

(any input from corpsman who went nurse would be great!)

much appreciated!

Hi Doc~

Wife of a Corpsman here who is currently enrolled in school for nursing. Wanted to know if you have had a chance to look at the forum on here for military/va, if not, you might want to. Has alot of good info on it, especially if you plan on staying in the Navy. Good Luck.
