Hiya all!
First time poster, long time lurker.
So, I will soon be graduating in May of this year (2013) with my BSN and have an opportunity to interview for the CCMC Pediatric Nurse Residency.
Does anyone who has interviewed for this program have any helpful hints/tips/suggestions for an interviewee? Expectations/preparation/comments/anything and everything?
I'm all ears for any general tips for an interview as well.
Thanks in advance!
The girl who gave me the tour was from NYC. I had no idea so many people from out of state knew about CCMC or it's residency program!
Also, I've got to say thank you to everybody on this thread. No matter how this whole thing turns out, I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one in this situation. Ya'll have kept me from going crazy this week!
No, though I offered to fly down! I actually wanted to but they offered me a Skype interview instead which was interesting as it was a first time doing that. However they told me they had a good number of Skype interviews to conduct because there was quite a few other people from out of state. I've planned this move for over a year and have been waiting to graduate from my university and pass my boards to go to Cooks Children's so it's been a dream for quite some time. I researched pediatric residencies across the country and when I went to visit them I really felt the best about CCMC. Crossing my fingers and toes for myself and everyone tomorrow!
alright team, it's good vibes Friday!! let's hope we all hear some good news today! please keep us all updated, and i agree with @cass1320 100% - this little thread has been a lifesaver! i would have probably been a wreck without all of your support, so no matter what happens today - thank you all! best of luck and keep those fingers and toes crossed!
also, @smj1013, i'm originally from CT too! i spent 25 years there before moving on. here's hoping TX is our next home! best of luck :)
