Has anyone else received the news or scheduled an interview for next week?
Congratulations, Mannan!
Gosh, I don't know, y'all. Perhaps they only contacted a few of the strongest applicants on Friday. I would not worry until after the 28th. Not everyone who is extended an offer will accept it. Otherwise, it wouldn't hurt to call and see if the decisions have been made if you are extremely anxious about it.
Prettyladie, I do not believe I met your friend; she was probably showing another applicant around at the time. :)
beautifulbyHisblood,
I know this may be random but I saw on here that you applied and interviewed for the Jan 2012 nurse residency program at Cook Children's.
I have applied for the June 2012 residency program at Cook Children's, I will graduate in May with my BSN.
Just wanted to know, did you get the residency??
And if so how is it going, how was the interviewing, and all that information?
Notifications for interviews arent for about a month almost, but I'm still anxious and wondering about the process. I would adore a job at this hospital, its definetly a dream. We shall see I guess.
Thank you so much!
ugghhhh this makes me so worried.i guess i'll just have to wait the week out and see if i get a call... it would've been better if they did all acceptions and rejections on the same day.
congratulations though. :)

Hi there. :)
No, I did not get the residency, unfortunately. BUT I did get a great internship at a hospital a little further down south. :) And I know it's where I'm supposed to be.
The interview was not too bad... pretty typical questions, but they did ask a priority question -- if you had a patients with high BP, high blood sugar, and fever, which would you see first? I think they gave specific numbers, but I don't remember those. :)
My advice would be apply everywhere you can, and just trust God with the rest. :) I was really disappointed when I didn't get Cook's, but I know it was for a reason. :) You will grow and learn at any hospital!!! Look up McLane Children's Hospital, Texas Children's, Christus Santa Rosa, Dell Children's,... the list goes on. :) And just pray for an interview!!!
Good luck!! :)
Rachel.
The email from HR setting up the interview asked to write back "yes" or "no" to a tour... did you respond to that email? I wouldn't worry about the tour too much though because I think HR is in charge of orchestrating that part...
How did your interview go otherwise? Any curve ball questions?
Hope it went well! :)

I had an interview Tuesday and have not yet received a call
. Although I'm not too suprised, I didn't feel too confident after my interview.
