I need all nurse information in Australia! I'm interested!

Specializes in ICU.

Look at the thread at the "top" of this forum and there is a list of associations in Australia. If you give me more details about what you would like to attend I will see what I can search on "answers" which is a purely Australian/New Zealand searchengine and it seems to throw up more A & NZ sites than een google!!!

I'd like to attend any kind of upcoming job fairs, educational fairs, nurses conventions, anything related to nursing. I'd like to travel to Australia and see what nursing is like there. Thx for your help.

We don't have job fairs here.

We have tons of agencies that would be more than willing to take you on and you can work at different hospitals or even tour the country until you find what you want and where you want it.

See as we have a free hospital system and the wages are set by the state goverment "Awards" we don't have bidding for staff. So everyone has more or less the same wages and conditions. - pros and cons to the system.

You can apply for jobs in Queensland through http://www.thinknursing.com which is the employment agency for the QLD state goverment.

Don't be discouraged if you do not see advertisiments in the papers for nurses especially for the "floor" nurses as many state goverment hospitals gave up advertising and rely on people sending in an expression of interest.

Unless you have a particular city in mid you might be better off going through one of the larger nursing agencies as they wil be able to book you for short and long term contracts wherever you travel.
