I heard that public union collective bargaining agreements are available online, but as I have tried to search for them I have not been successful in finding one. I am considering employment at several hospitals that have an agreement with the California Nurses Association, and was hoping to be able to compare their agreements. Am I mistaken and these contracts are not actually available online?

If you go to the union or HR at the facility they will probably give you a copy.
Or try looking up under name of facility + union contract.
Here is one on line for the University of California:
Current Contract | UCnet
Included are wage tables for all University of California campuses. Here are two. You can find the others with the above link:

I hope you find a great job!

I've never had a problem finding union contracts via google (vs. non-union hospitals, where getting salary and benefit info is like pulling teeth!). One search phrase that might help is "collective bargaining agreement". So for instance searching "University of California hospital RN collective bargaining agreement." Best of luck!
Thank you for the responses. I appreciate your input. I agree with both of you that finding the University of California collective bargaining agreement is very straight forward. But I don't find that to be the case with many other union hospitals.
For instance, when searching google for various Sutter Health CBA's (Sutter Lakeside Hospital, Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, Sutter Davis Hospital, Sutter Amador Hospital, Sutter Roseville, etc.) I can't find a single contract, although I do find lots of news articles referencing various negotiated contracts. I have similar results when search for Dignity Health agreements (St Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, Woodland Memorial Hospital, Mercy General Hospital, Mercy San Juan Medical Center, etc.). I sometimes can find CBA's for other types of workers, but none for nurses.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong though. Could someone attempt to find a nurse CBA for one of the above mentioned hospitals and let me know what search you used to find it? Thanks so much!
Many private hospital corporations don't put contract information on line.
Try contacting the union or human resources for the hospital where you are interested in working.
Note that Kaiser Permanente facilities post their bargaining proposals. This is NOT the contract.
