I had my 4th baby 4 years ago and decided to be a SAHM. My license is up for renewal this year and I will need to show proof of work or continuing education classes. Can someone tell me where I find these classes or where can I take them? Thank you for any responses.

When I absolutely positively need them right away I go to Western Schools CEU WWW.Westernschools.com

There are lots of classes to choose from and they even have state specific bundles that will get you caught up in a weekend.  Warning they are a bit pricey but they transmit your results directly to your BON.

Are you going back to work or just want to renew your license? Let me know. There are many online continuing education programs available that are very good....  Here is one I have used...https://www.netce.com/

I keep current in my area of practice but still found some interesting articles from this source that engaged me.

Some free or low-cost things you can use are CDC, FEMA, Medscape; Food Handlers Permit, CPR, First Aid certification.

Specializes in Public Health, TB.

NetCE offers in depth courses, although they are not free.

Suggest you check with your local/state nurses association. They may have some offerings.

I'm not sure that CPR & First Aid count for mandatory CE credits. Just because one takes a class doesn't mean that it's 'approved' for CE.

Make sure before spending time & money.

Also not all states recognize the same providers across board. Likewise your state may require certain topics. If I remember, someone required 'Child Abuse while another wanted 'Organ Donation'. Not sure anymore as things change with time & multi-state  licensing.

Check out what you're doing first.

amoLucia is right it does it does vary by state and organization. I take AHA through a community college, so I get a couple of hours towards CE.

I can. I signed up years ago at Nursece4less.com for $19.99/yr (lifetime price with unlimited CEU's) for as long as I keep my membership. Think they're up to about $50/yr now...but not for me! ?

My wife signed up a few years later (after she got tired of searching around for CEU's all over the place) for $35/yr (lifetime price with unlimited CEU's)
