hi does anyone out there know if the Texas state board require foreign nurses to take the CGFNS exam? Or do they just require the CGFNS-CES? (which is what - a review of your transcripts or something???) and if they do require the exam, does it have to be done BEFORE the NCLEX? have tried phoning the texas state board about 1000 times and i simply can't get through, it's always busy and i'm eternally on hold. have also e-mailed the 'webmaster' about a week ago with no reply. am going crazy - how are you supposed to accesss the correct information???? thanks

Texas require CES from CGFNS and it has to be done with your application. Texas will not give eligibility to sit NCLEX without it
CES is a evaluation on your transcripts.

Never email the webmaster, they have nothing to do with the board other than maintaining the site in working condition. Try faxing, and if not, then try a certified letter. Good Luck

Good luck, BennyBear. It was a couple of years ago, but I had the best luck emailing the webmaster. The webmaster forwarded my email to the appropriate person and I received a response within a few hours.
