Consolidating alternative loans

Hi!

I took out 2 loans through bank one. Due to an illness I was unable to attend school in the fall. I now have to start repaying both loans.

Does anybody know of a place that consolidates alternative loans. I honestly did not even know that these could not consolidated. I asked the place where I got these loans and Sallie Mae and they say no.

I am so screwed. I am not one to take the easy way out but geez I was sick (the big C) and I am now being penalized for it.

Maybe you could try to find a lower interest loan to pay off these loans? Also, try citibank, they seem to offer many different types of programs, although I don't know about consolidation.
