Connecticut State Community College - Selective 2025/2026 Admissions

Published

Hello. I am looking to apply to the CT State Community College - Capital Nursing program for the 2025-2026 semester! I have completed the required pre-req's for admission, and completing additional core but not required courses (Ex. A&P II) when the Fall semester opens next week. I'm likely going to apply to more than one selective admissions program to be sure I follow the destiny meant for me.

I'm wondering what everyone's stats are as we all are getting ready to apply to the selective admissions program. Mine are...

A&PI : A

TEAS: 79.3%

Nursing GPA: 3.7

Happy studying, and selective admissions application time fellow students!! I hope this thread proves to be as productive as others have in years past 🙂

Hi everyone! I got an email saying acceptance letters come out around April 7th? Do you think they will come before, or after April 7th? I look every day hoping they just come early😅

I didn't get an email and I hope they do, every day I'm a wreck waiting LOL

I didn't get an email either. Maybe they reached out to ask? IDK. The sooner we find out, the better! It's really hard to plan for the future distant and not so distant when you don't know what your educational plans could potentially look like for the Fall 25' semester. I'm trying to be patient too but it's hard 😅

Yes I did ask, because it wasn't clear in the original email I got when I originally applied. I agree, it's so tough to plan for the future. Especially while working, and trying to change my schedule to coordinate with the program if I get in. Hopefully we all hear soon! 2 weeks!

Hi! I am not sure the acceptance rate but I know alot of people who got in who were waitlisted. I know someone who was over #50 on the waitlist who got in. Just keep in mind that this can always change by year though.

Hi, I appreciate it. I jusf want to know if I have a chance, im worried and this will be a step to changing my life. So hopefully we all can get in. I was told by an advisor to have hopes my.GPA is decent at 3.3 but my B- and 63.3 on TEAS may not be enough, IDK.

Hey,

I have a few questions. When does the dosage calculation tests happen? And how many questions, give or take?

About  clinicals....is it possible to get it done evening, night? Or is it during day time only?

thank you

Hi!

For us the dosage calculation has been during the first month of the semester, theres 10 questions and you have to get 9/10 correct to pass, you get 3 chances to take it, the other 2 attempts are like weeks apart though. For clinical theres a morning 6am-2pm shift or an evening 1pm-9pm shift and you pick your preference but its not guaranteed.

Thank you for sharing! The wait feels sooo terribly long! I'm going to be on vacation the week of the 10th. So hopefully that's a good thing. I am taking Microbiology now, it is my last lab course left for nursing. After that, it's all just the nursing program. So I really hope I get in. How do you like it? I'm curious about what the drop out rate looks like since you started? I applied to Capital too!
