Confusion on scheduling a test

Published

Our school spent about 5 minutes, literally, explaining what we need to do to take boards. I think I completed all of the steps, including signing up on Pearsonvue and paying the 200 dollars.

Do I have to go on again and select a date to take the test? Do I have to wait until my ATT comes in the mail first? I don't really know how that process goes.

Once you are issued/or receive your ATT you go back on Pearson and schedule/pick a date . Wishing you all the best.

Steps to register for taking NCLEX:

1. Submit an application for licensure with your state's board of nursing (BON). (Pay $143)

2. Meet all of the board of nursing’s eligibility requirements to take the NCLEX Examination.

3. Register and pay for the NCLEX examination with Pearson VUE. (Pay $200)

4. Receive eligibility from your board of nursing.

5. Pick & Schedule test date at pearson website. its same user/login as step three.

CHECK YOUR EMAIL and spam filters because your ATT is a PDF file attachment. Me and my class opened every piece of paper mail that came in and finally called them up to see what the hold up was.

If like 2 weeks has passed and you've not heard anything or received your Authorization to Test (ATT) number call your state board. And if you have scheduling problems etc call up pearson.

TIPS:

1. Pick a test time that is good for you and if you're a morning person then stick to that schedule test day is not the time to be doing different things. you've stress enough as is.

2. Scout the testing site ahead of schedule go to the place time how long it takes to get there and explore alternate routes in case can't use the regular one.

3. Bring your test center address with phone number for worst case scenario if you're lost.

4. Bring state ID or passport + ATT sheet Good luck! -- Inori
