i just happened to scan some of the pages of saunders comprehensive review for rn nclex exam and it just made me confused!!
on page 187 box 17.3, it is said that 1 grain is equal to 60 mg.... but what confuses me is that below it says 15 grains is equal to 1000 mg...
no matter what calculation i do... i just cant seem to get the answer 1000mg when i multiply 15grains and 60 mg...
maybe someone here knows the explanation... thanks!!
dont think so... coz its also whats been thought to us in school....and my professors are using different books... and to think that saunders compre is already on its 3rd or 4th edition... there must be reason why they are not changing that info if it is really a typographical error....
What's the rational behind your teachers teaching you that 15 grains = 1000mg? I'm assuming they taught you that 1g=60/65mg..so how do they figure that 15g is 1000mg? I would think someone in class would have asked how 15g=1000mg if 1g=60/65mg, I know I would have.

they taught that to us coz they are using that conversion ( 1gr=60mg and 15gr is 1000mg) years before and maybe its the first time that this issue has been raised ..... what im saying here is that maybe theres a lot better explanation than saying that theres is a typographical information in the book....
