Confused! Re: NCLEX and Breeze License Verification

Published

I live in the state of California and I recently took my NCLEX-PN exam. I have heard that before you get official results in the mail, you can look up your license on Breeze. I've tried this several times and nothing's come up when I search my name, so I started getting nervous that this means I have failed. However, being desperate to find out SOMETHING, and wanting to put my mind at ease, I started looking up others from my class on the site that I knew have passed their exams. NONE of my classmates had any results, which is why I'm so confused. I know particular people who I looked up that are already employed and working as nurses. How can their licenses not be listed? Should this give me some hope that mine's not listed? It's really a strange situation. I'be seen people say that it can be posted within 48 hours. What could be going on?

You can only do that for RN as once you pass the NCLEX-RN and your background is clear you get a license.

LVN has an extra step. Pass NCLEX-PN. Wait for pass letter. Return with $150 initial license fee. Wait for license. You should be able to pay online once results are released so you don't have to wait for a check to clear

The 48 hour quick result option is available for almost every state except California! Waiting up to 6 weeks sounds awful, but I guess that's really the only option. Thanks for letting me know that about the difference between the two, I didn't know that it wouldn't post - I would have wasted a lot of time checking!
