Don't take anything personal. Not from residents or co workers.
Some people just complain and are negative especially to a new person.
Just do your job. If a resident doesn't want you to care for them, the nurse will re assign you. If the nurse thinks it's an issue with how you do your job, they will talk to you about it. Some residents just don't like/trust new people...and when you are reassigned some coworkers get annoyed because now they have to change up their routine.
If management isn't calling you into the office to talk to you about your work. Don't worry about it.
You aren't there to make friends. You are there to do a job. Period.

So I am still pretty new to this profession and I recently found out that some of my residents hate me and some of the staff are mad at me, IDK why. I don't purposely try to make them mad-I am trying to do my best and I am only human. I realize not everyone will like me or want my help-how should I handle the residents who don't like me? Obviously, if they don't like me they won't want my help.
