Concordia University, Irvine- Summer 2015

Hello everyone,

I'm hoping to get into Concordia for Summer 2015! I'm beginning the application process and was hoping I can get advice from current students or how current applicants are prepping! I'm very worried about getting in as it is my first choice...

I go to CSULB and am on my last semester with a 3.0 GPA, which is bare minimum. I'm interning at a hospital and reaching 240 hours by the end of November. I'm passionate about becoming a nurse, particularly in the area of pediatrics or neonatal nursing! Is there any way I can make myself a more competitive candidate? What would a good Statement of Intent look like? Any advice would be appreciated!

I interviewed Saturday (second interview). Ahh! I am so excited for you! Given the amount interviewed I didn't think I would get in, but we did it! I know you haven't seen it yet, so the packet contains an acceptance letter, instructions on how to submit the $500 deposit (due March 10th), and info about orientation, registration, fees, certifications we need, insurances we need, uniforms, books, and health clearances.

Also the letter is dated March 2, 2015 and the envelope is stamped March 3.

I live in Lakewood, so that's not too far from the campus. The fact that you live in SF is probably why you haven't heard! Good luck!

I got a letter from Concordia today saying that I'm on the wait list and will be notified the week of March 16th if a spot opens up. Guess we will wait and see? Congrats to the ones who got in!
