Now that the due date is less than a week, I wanted to start a fresh thread for those who are applying for summer 2012.
Let me introduce myself first..
As you can tell from my user name I am a husband and a daddy (two year old daughter and soon to be born baby boy). I did my undergrad at USC (biology) but worked in the restaurant business for 5 years. I always wanted to work in health related field so that's why I am applying to Concordia!
For application, I am done except for the statement of intent, hopefully I will be done by this weekend!
I would like to wish nothing but the best for everyone!!
I Just got my acceptance letter as well!! I am so happy right now!! For all of the others that got in I would love to get to know all of you, I'm new to this website but is there a way we can exchange contact info without posting it on the blog?
I was looking over the admissions packet and a few of the emails sent out. I guess besides paying our deposit and sending the confirmation, there is not much else to do until orientation. Is this what everyone else understood?
Hi Everyone,I also got accepted to Concordia's Summer ABSN. I still have to complete my communication requirement so I got a call Friday letting me know I had to complete it to do the program. I look forward to meeting all of you!
Yeah cubanrob, it looks like we need to wait till orientation before we go any further. That is what I understood too. Stefani9 Kinda new to this website too so not sure how it works just yet either. Just found out we can't send private messages until we have 15 topics posted. We might have to wait till Orientation.
I know past threads have started a page on Facebook for the cohort...we could do that to better exchange info as a member only page.Anyone wanna do that?

Sure. That would be helpful.Since we have to take the Basic Life Support class, it would be cool if a bunch of us took it together.

I am still on cloud nine - and so excited that we've made it in!
Unless anyone has already done it - I will attempt to set up a group on Facebook - I have never done it before but looks like it can be an open group where anyone can search for it, add themselves and see everything on it - or a closed group where you can only add via an admin person and the group is private to just group members
Send me your thoughts on which you'd prefer and I'll have a go and get that set up later this evening
