Concordia University Irvine ABSN Fall 2014

Hi everybody. I didn't see a thread for the ABSN program for Fall 2014 at Concordia University Irvine so I made one. I sent in my application last week. Is anyone else applying for this program? What are the chances of getting in?

Online class starts August 18 and regular classes Oct 6. No idea about tuition yet and nothing in the packet, I think they'll give more info at orientation Sept. 9th.

I have been accepted as well :) I was waiting to post as I m choosing this program over another and need to let them know! Excited to meet the cohort.

In regards to what we need to do....I paid the deposit yesterday and forwarded the confirmation email over to Henny. I took care of all the titer and immunization stuff for another program that I was potentially going to...but that doesn't seem to be due until October.

Stats? hmm well I have a BA from UCI (Pre Law) total GPA was 3.46 with all pre reqs. TEAS I scored in the 97%...and now I just feel like I'm gloating. The interview was a big deal with them from what I've learned from faculty members there. They really want well rounded, personable, team playing individuals and those that look like they will be a great health care professional. Those that don't get in, don't give up! I tried for 2 years getting into a DPT program for physical therapy and was wait listed both years from 8+ schools, then realized PT is boring and all they do is rub down old women's feet. I applied to 10 nursing schools this year and got into every single one (I'm sure being a male definitely helped ;)...so things happen for a reason! Don't give up, don't ever give up!

Hey everyone! My name is Lauren and I also was accepted into the program. I'll try and find you all on Facebook; there are a couple girls in my area who gave my name and I don't want you to accidentally add one of them, haha.

As for my stats, I had a 3.5 GPA in my science prerequisites and scored in the 99th percentile on my TEAS. I have an English degree from UC Irvine.

Sorry this is so disjointed! I'm on my break at work on my phone. Congratulations to those who also got accepted - we'll be seeing each other soon! - and to those still working on it, keep trying!

I graduated from CSUF with my BA in Speech (undergrad GPA 3.4)

my Prereq GPA was 4.0

Got an 86 my TEAS (but i didn't submit those scores)
