Concordia Texas ABSN Fall 2019

Published

Hey y'all,

I'm applying to the Concordia Texas ABSN program for Fall 2019. Trying to see if anyone else is trying to do so too. Please share stats! If you are a current student, please share your experiences as well!

Is the school close to downtown or is the nursing program in a different location?

Concordia U itself is in North Austin but our classes will be in downtown in the Clinical Education Center for the most part. We don’t have to go to North Austin since we’re accelerated and the theory classes are done online. This is what my advisor told me. Only rarely would we have to be on main campus, usually if there’s a room change or we need to meet with a professor.

Oh okay. Would you like us to be roommates so we can start looking into getting an apartment by August?

I’ll keep you updated! I’m still waiting on a decision from another nursing program so I’m not 100% sure yet if I’ll be committing to Concordia!

I'm applying this August and just need to take TEAS and the Theology courses. When submitting the Nursing Support Form, does it send the recommendations requests out?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am new here.

Yes it does and you can also confirm it with the advisor

Hi Everyone,

I am also one of the Fall 2019 Cohort, paid the security deposit, and started the REL classes. But, I am still technically waiting for my 1st choice program to respond. Is anyone experiencing or had experienced such situation? if so, could you please advise?

Thanks!

I was waiting also but didn’t get in so I’ll be starting at Ctx this fall

I am on the same boat as you. Just wondering if you have submitted your deposit to CTX while waiting for your other school?

Ctx is still a good school. You will do great wherever you go!

Thank you for sharing your experience!

Just wondering how long it takes to settle down for housing? I am from California, and currently working a full-time job. Is it possible to get the housing part settled online?
