Hello silentacro,

I'm going to drop off my application on Wednesday. Do you have any classes in progress? What other programs have you applied to if any? I have finals this week and then I'm completely done with all my pre-reqs. I'm hoping I get an interview too. I wonder when they will be? I know some time in July, but just curious as to a specific date. Thanks for posting in my new thread :) lol

I will be submitting all my paperwork soon. That way, I can be at peace for the lovely 3-day weekend! I wish you all the best and hope to meet w/you during the interview....think positive and have faith. It all works out for the best in the end. I believe we will receive news mid-July.

All of us deserve to get a great education so we can shine as nurses and make a difference in people's lives....I can't wait to start my career!!!

I just dropped off my application this morning. It feels good to have it in already. This is actually my 2nd time applying. I had microbiology and anatomy in progress when I applied for the Summer cohort so I think that hurt my chances. My finals for both classes are tomorrow so I will be completely done then. I just need to drop off my official transcripts at Concordia once my grades post for my classes. Do you have any classes in progress?

I totally agree that things always work out for the best! I wonder when the interview will actually be as far as a date? I work every Saturday and from past postings I think they normally interview on Saturdays. I hope I get invited for one and if I do I'll need to ask for the day off from work. It shouldn't be a problem, but I'm already getting anxious about it.

Hi everyone!

I'm also getting ready to submit my application for the Fall 2011 Program; however, I'm a little confused about the 6 unit Philosophy/Theology prereq which "Must be completed at CUI (1 semester prior to the start of nursing classes) – upon acceptance into BSN program". Am I correct in assuming that we will take this class in August(?) after we've been accepted to the program/before the Fall semester begins?? Or have you already taken this class? Thanks for any clarification :)

Hi SDBella82,

You are correct. Once you are accepted, you are automatically enrolled in those 2 classes in August for the Fall semester and then the core nursing classes will begin in January. So technically it is really 4 semesters total.....1 for the theology classes (which are online) and then 3 semesters for the nursing program (spring, summer, fall). Are you planning to apply anywhere else? good luck to you and hopefully we will hear something soon :up:

From my experience (Summer 2011), they sent out interview emails middle of the given month, in our case, I'm guessing July 16 or July 23. You get a week's advance notice. Where do you work? I'm sure they will understand your situation and allow you to take time off 8am-1pm.

SDBella, Sandy is correct. Once accepted into the program, we are required to take two theology classes before official RN classes start in January. They are online, and must be taken at Concordia. All the registration info will be sent to us once we've been accepted. It's nice to know they are online, so we don't have to stress about relocating and/or driving to class sooner than expected.

Passionate-RN-to-be, I work at a credit union and I work every Saturday from 8:30-2:30. I'm sure my work will understand, but I just want to give them ample time to fill my shift as we are always short staffed, especially on the weekend. Did you have courses in progress when you applied for the Summer cohort? I had Anatomy & Micro but finished as of last Thursday! Just waiting for my official transcripts to be ready so I can drop them off. Summer school starts June 13th and a lot of my friends will be taking summer school and I can't believe I'm not? It feels very odd. Right about now I'd be searching frantically for the best deal on my textbooks lol

So did everyone get there email this morning saying that their application is officially complete? It says we'll be notified around June 17th via email if we are asked to interview. That's right around the corner guys! Good luck to all!

I did not receive a confirmation email, so was worried. But, I did call Concordia directly, and they verified my application is complete and under review. Phew!

Oh good Passionate-RN-to-be! Good thing you checked, I'd be worried too. Hopefully we will hear something soon! On another note, how did you submit your app? Were you able to do it electronically since it was your second time? I was having issues because it kept recognizing my app on file from Summer 2011. So I printed out a hard copy and mailed a personal check for the fee which was cashed yesterday. I was just curious if you had the same problem submitting online?
