I just sent off my application for Accelerated Nursing program at Concordia College for the fall of 2013. I'm really excited and nervous. I saw the thread for the fall 2012 was quite active and a few would-be 2013 students had posted to that one so I thought I should start a new one.
Anyway, I would LOVE to hear from any posters on the 2012 thread about how their experience has been going,anyone who is finished with the program, and anyone who is applying like me!
I interviews today at concordia (the 27th). The writing sample took a while probably an hour for me. it wasnt bad but its not a piece of cake either. The interview was brief i was kind of disappointed because i feel like i didnt get to say my full piece i was only asked a few questions but tried to keep elaborating! i was told within a month from the administrator and i didnt ask the interviewer. I think the time frame for decision is within a month but you can find out sooner. theres people that interviewed earlier than others so its going to vary. anyone else recently interview?[/quote']
I had an interview/writing sample today also. How do you feel you did?
I think it went well. The writing sample actually had some substance to it. you couldn't walk in and do it with your eyes closed, but i enjoyed it. writing is one of my strong points. the interview was a little brief...i expected and prepared for more questions and was kind of caught off guard by more general open ended questions like "tell me about yourself" lol. i received the generic "within a month" about notification, but from reading the forum on previous years it looks like the response may be sooner.
Is there anyone who has acceptance letter recently? I had interview two weeks ago. The school said I would get the letter within a month, but I am checking my mail box every day. Not easy to wait because I desperately want to start the nursing program in Concordia this fall. Is there anyone?

I just made the appointment for my interview. It is less than a week and a half away. I am so excited. I have wanted to go to this program for years since the first cohort however life got in the way. I hope I get my acceptance at the end. It would make my year. That would be the first step in truly fulfilling my dream ( I hope to be an NNP or PNP one day) and get the ball rolling.
To anyone else who got accepted congratulations. To those waiting, I hope you hear the news you want.
