I was accepted and paid my deposit. I am looking forward to this experience. We should all meet up sometime before school starts. Anyone from Westchester going?

A few people have expressed interest in meeting up sometime before the program starts. Let's take a survey to find out what month would work best for most people. May, June, July?

I live in North Bronx, but will be spending a lot of time during the program at my parents' house in Mamaroneck (Westchester County).

I am a student there and if anybody interested i can let you guys know the details how unfair this College is.There is no infrastructure ,no professionalism .Just please think twice .

I had read a scathing review about Concordia on one of the other boards. It got me nervous, but then I read a follow up by another student in which she addresses and negates everything the critic had said. There are going to be bad experiences in every program as each person's is unique. I am not going to concern myself too much over negative things that are said on these boards. If I paid heed to all of them, I would never find a nursing program to go to. Ok, I'll hop off my soap box now :twocents:

lenabeth I know what review you're talking about. When I was reading threads about Concordia a year ago, I came across the same one, and it alarmed me a bit. However, a current student in the program did clarify that she, as well as the others in the class, did not feel the same way as that person at all.

Everyone is different, and someone is always going to have a negative opinion about something. I'm not going to change my decision to go to Concordia based on one opinion.

When I went for my interview in March, I saw pictures on the wall of the last 3 classes that graduated. There were over 30 students in each. I feel that if the program was that terrible as this person is saying, they would not have the success they've had so far.

Not every accelerated nursing program is perfect. I have a good feeling about Concordia and I'm happy with my decision to go there. I just want to get started already! :nurse:

well i am student at concordia and today they failed me in two subjects so that i can be out of the program .I have all oth A and B plus .This was being pre planned and i told the admnistration three weeks ago what is happening but nobody helped .The subjects were only patient teaching where teacher has full grading power and no written exam.They knew they cant fail me in written exam

well i am a student there with A and B plus in all subjects and today they failed me in two subjects in health promotion teaching because they knew they cant fail me in written exams bec i do good so they chose this path.Now i am in debt for 20,000.I knew it was comming and i told the admnistration but nobody listen

Guys i am not here to dishearten nobody ,just sharing my bad experience so nobody just be in the same boat as i am .School do Discrimination and there is no way of winning and expressing youself .
