well I took 5 today and didn't pass....this was supposed to be my last exam...im very disappointed in myself...only one i didn't pass...but gonna call tomm and see what is the soonest I can retake it..guess just gonna have to study a little harder...

I know how you feel. I failed that one too.:( Call the nursing office and see if you can fax the Nursing Director and take it over in about 2-3 weeks. It can be done. My friend was in the same boat as you and called and they let her take it 3 weeks later. It was her last exam.

Me & psych stuff just dont mix..what did you use to study for the second time around?....thats good to know about your friend..i'm def gonna call first thing in the morning! Thanks

To be honest I did not use anything different. I did okay in the psych area I got 68% so I restudied the few illnesses that I remembered from the test. I went back over the regulatory and metabolic section in great lengths. They want you to make close to 70% in all the categories. Good Luck!

I used College Network, Minnays,Chancellors and Studygroup 101 to prepare for this test.

I'm sorry you didn't pass. I didn't fail this particular exam but I did rather poorly on it compared to other exams. Psych is not my strong suit, obviously. You'll do great next time.

I'm studying for this exam...the best thing to do is take everything in sections.....like hypothyroidism vs. hyperthyroidism. I made flash cards and studied for that section that way. I'm using studygroup 101, Chancellors....nothing special. Did you take advantage of the practice exams? If so, how did you do?:D

I'm sorry to hear you failed. Not that it makes a difference but I too failed HD 2 aka NC 5. I had 2 tests to go and after I failed it, I went into a depression and pushed everything off for a few months. I got back in the swing of things and took 1 of my last tests and passed so I scheduled NC 5 for Aug 6th. It is a very hard exam and I'm worried about it again. I went about studying for it a different way and made sure to allow enough time to get everything. I sure hope it pays off. This is the only test holding me back from applying for the CPNE. Good luck re-studying!

You are not alone. I too failed this exam, as well as hd3. I am re-studying this exam, and realizing that I really didn't allow the info. to sink in the first time. You will do fine. I will say a prayer for you.
