Concept Maps vs Care plans

Does your school use care plans or concept maps and which do you perfer?

We just started using concept maps.

We do careplans for every clinical...i call these minicare plans because our "big" careplan is due next Monday. We also have to do a research paper w/ the care plan which is pointless. The paper work is killing me this semester. I spent my entire spring break studying for a test and completing a newborn/L&D paper. Only 7 more wks of school and other than the careplan due i have an OR rotation paper, process recording, Grand Rounds presentation, a pedi virtual lab that takes 6 hrs to complete, 3 lecture tests, 1 math test, 1 lab test/practical, the HESI test, and then the final. We learned care plans and are now learning concept maps. Funny thing- the local hospital uses concept maps in L & D and got cited for not using care plans so now they include the generic check off care plan with a note on top that says "see Concept Map" and that is acceptable, lol.
