Hi All!
Okay, so I'm going to briefly explain my situation because it is so hectic, so I apologize if this post is really long!
Im married, and have 2 kids. My husband got a really, REALLY good job in NC so he is currently living there while I am in MD finishing my last 2 semesters in school for my Psyc/Socy B.A. degree.. Our plan is for me to graduate from my University and move to NC... Here's the issue I need advice on: If I take my pre-req's here at my University BEFORE I graduate it will take me until May 2016 to move to NC with my husband.. But, if I just graduate without taking my pre-req's for nursing school, then I graduate December 2015..
Naturally, I miss my hubby and want to be reunited with him as soon as possible, and also I am not sure my kids (8 months and 3 years) are really old enough to understand that "Dad is in another state for now". But I am hoping they are okay dealing with this temporary change.
I've been contemplating this for almost 2 months now and would love to here your input. And also, If anyone knows of any colleges/universities in NC that allow you to take pre-req's there before applying to a program?
Thanks in advance!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

If it were me.. I would complete the current degree and then move.. enroll in a community college or University in NC and take the pre-reqs... should take the same amount of time but get your family back together sooner.

I would just finish your current degree asap, move, and finish at a community college and then apply. I had a few people in my class with BA from other places who did their pre-reqs at other schools but applied and were accepted. One straight into the program and the other did a year of capstones before getting in. This was a high impacted program is well.

Ditto with the other posts: Finish your degree, move, then complete pre-req at a community college in NC and then apply for programs afterwards. Good luck!
Thank you all! I'll start looking at community colleges down there now. I think this will cost a little more in the long run because I have been told financial aid is not available as much after you have your Bachelor's degree. But it should pay off! And, I'll be reunited with my husband sooner. :-)
