compensation in asthma

Published

Help please. I am taking my post grad certificate in emergency nursing. I am responding to a caSe study on asthma. I cannot find any concrete resource material on signs and symptoms of compensation. for example articles, text..references..that speak to why the body has an increased hr, wob, use of accessory muscles, cyanosis ect. If anyone has any links or articles that you could share that would be awesome.

Thank you in advance.

You are doing a post graduate certificate in emergency nursing and you can't find research? A simple Google search reveals a TON of valid information. We are happy to help however we are not your research assistants....knowing how to research, what resources to trust and compile that information is an important skill in nursing.

What has YOUR research revealed to you?

I can tell you that my Medical-Surgical text by Lewis, et al, has the patho of asthma and why the body reacts the way it does. Maybe use your nursing school text books. Then if you don't find what you need try google and only use the reputable sources that come up. Lastly, you likely have access to your school library's research database. I'm sure there are some good sources in there. GL.

Get your hands on a "Guyton" (Textbook of Medical Physiology) .... any edition. Oodles of detail, with great illustrations.
