I am deciding whether to go to community school my frashman year of college or a university. I got into a university, but I want to transfer into a four-year nursing school my sophmore year. Do you think it will matter where I go for the first year? Will I have a good chance of getting into a good nursing school if Im not at, and socially involved in a university?
I know that many nurses go to community college and they get great educations and in the end, we all take the same test. its just that there is no entry test into another college. Also, at a university I can be involved in things

Well you can be involved in things at a community college as well.
If you know the university that you plan on attending check to see if the college's credits will transfer. I'm guessing that you are a traditional student (recent high school grad) and I think it's a great idea to start out at the community college level. I went away to a large school many many moons ago and let's just say I wished I hadn't of.
So I would check the transfer credits.
Write up a list of pro's and con's.
And if possible speak to graduates of the university and the college.
Best wishes!

I took all of my lower division general courses and nursing prerequisites at our community college, then transferred all of my credits and was accepted at our university's nursing program.
I would only be concerned with whether or not your community college credits are transferrable to the university you're interested in going to. At least here, they're more interested in you having completed the prerequisites with an acceptable grade. Also, the university here had a few prerequisites for their nursing program that couldn't be completed at the community college, so check into that.
