  1. For the people that add classes and don't pay they loose their classes and therfore the classes will open back up. The 8th at my school all tuition had to be paid, if not you will get yoru classes dropped. For some reason my finacial aid didn't come in as soon as i had hoped because i transfered from another college and had to change majors for that particular school. Thats why i lost my classes last semester.
  2. Ya know what i feel your pain i really do. I'm at a very small CC and they only have two A&P classes per semester. Talk about impossible. Got into one last semester and my classes got purged, so i lost it. Then found the online one grabbed it and withdrew for personal reasons. So this semester i played it smart, knowing that my classes would not get purged i grabbed up the online class once again, and waited for everyone elses classses to get purged, sad i know. Anyway so i got online this morning, and both class were open and maybe had one or two people still enrolled in the classes. I jumped on it instantly. Got my classes and am very proud of myself, lol.
  3. Well i'm not even remotely close to even being ready to make that decison. But i kinda hard a hard time choosing between going into nursing or going into psychology. So my idea was to have my cake and eat it to. So I'm going into nursing and specializing in psychology or maybe mental health. Something into this area. But maybe by the time i get there and start clinicals i may find something else that really makes me even happier. There are so many choices when going into nursing and that is exciting to me.
  4. I'm in too. Micro and A&P plus a dev.math class. It's gonna be a rough year. last semester i tried to take A&P but life happened and i decided to drop the class early and retake it in the spring. So here i am waiting....january 14th. I never thought i would be so happy that school was starting back. I'm bored out of my mind, but my house is clean, lol
  5. Just found a video podcast called intro to H&P by michael shively- i don't know if it's any good cause i'm still downloading them. It has 38 episodes all with different descriptions for each episode. It's all free to all you have to do is subscribe. If it doesn't work or it's a waste of time i will let you all know before before you all waste the time downloading
  6. UH-OH, It never occured to me that some colleges wouldn't accept it. But it is through regions online(RODP) which is what all the colleges in tennessee use for some of their online classes, so hopefully it will be ok. I guess monday after classes i will have to speak with an advisor to make sure. Thanks. Also the labs are online and they are on type of cd program. I also read the sylubus for the class and it says we will be required to buy and use some house hold items to do some labs portions. Thanks for the info!!!
  7. Up till this point i have taken all of my classes online, i will be taking three at the school but they had no A&P classes opened except online. Why am i more nervous about A&P online than i am the rest of my classes. Can anyone tell me what to expect with A&P online, how can i get through this, Any advice i should have before starting the class on Monday? Obviously i know that taking online classes require more motivation and better study habits, what else can i do to make this easier on me?
  8. I plan to go up there tommorrow. My daughter started kindergarten this year and she has only been going 2 days this weeks sort of like a phase in period, and she has only been going till 10:30 so i didn't want to take her up there with me to sit and wait all day. But tommorrow she will start a full day so i will spend the whole day up at my school if i have to. Hopefully i will get some answers.
  9. So i changed schools this year, they have all my info. For some reason they asked me to change my major before they could process my student loan. This has all been taken care of on my end for weeks. So yestereday my classes were suppose to be paid for or they were dropping my classes. I did not have 600 dollars to defer my payments plus another 450 dollars to pay for books. So i call and leave message after message for the last week and hae heard nothing back, i left a message yesterday and still nothing. Today i get up and find that my classes have been dropped. So i call once again to find out something, anything. Nothing, they still have not changed my major in their system which means obviously they have not resent my info back about the student loan. So i am stuck waiting, classes start on monday and i have no classes, no money, no finacial aid, and pretty much no hope. I understand that it is my responsibility to pay for my classes if they have not came through with finacial aid, but they have had every single piece of info they need from me for weeks now, and they have done nothing on their part. I cannot go to the school to talk to someone because thay are so packed, i have called several times and no one will call me back. I have no idea what to do. I am so mad and their is nothing i can do but sit back and wait.
  10. Thanks! my problem is i have already registered for classes and i cannot complte my finacial aid until i fix the problem, first day of class is the 27th and i have no finacial aid.
  11. Okay so i'm leaving one community college and transfering to another CC closer to my home. My problem is i cannot get my student loans rolling because they are telling me that i have to change my major. I don't understand why. They should already have it in my transcript from the other community college. Evidentlly they have it in my transcript that i am in the nursing program. I'm not in the nursing program yet, i am still pre-nursing, so that is why i need to change my major. But now i have no idea what i need to even change it to. And because i am going to another school i am required to have different classes for their nursing program when the time comes. But i don't plan to apply for their nursing program so should i be majoring in just general pre-nursing, and take only the classes that i need, and not the ones i would need for their nursing program or follow their nursing program and take some classes that i don't even need at all for the colleges i am applying to?
  12. I am a prenursing student at volstate community college. I am thinking of switching schools next semester to Motlow community college in Smyrna, tn. I live in Lavergne and volstate is about an hour away. I was just curious to know if anyone has gone there, if it is accredited, and what they thought about it? I do not want to be that far away from home just in case something was to happen to one of my kids. Thanks!
  13. Can anyone suggest a realy good study guide for the teas test. I will not be taking the test till next year but i would like to get a head start or at least look through it. Should i use more than one study guide? What do you all think?
  14. First of all welcome!!!:welcome: I believe there is a male nurse forum. They can probably answer this question for you better. Good luck!
  15. okay i'm gonna have to double up on something hard just to fit it in two years. So should i take chemistry and microbiology on one semester or one of them with with my ap classes.
