community health nursing posting....

please tell me what i have to care for when i am posted in communitywhat should i study before going for it?this is the first time so i am very nervous about it.... i know there will be instructors with me but what are my responsibilities during postinghow i can get best learning experience from it????

You need to discuss this with your instructor. Same as the operating room question. They can tell you exactly what you need to do/know before during and after.

I know they will tell us.... but i want to know others experiences from their student life.... or their advice so i would give my best on that time.....

We had to read up on the specific organizations we were visiting (such as the county health dept., a group of community health workders that did screenings, an elementary school, etc.) and on the specific roles of RNs (such as the county public health nurse, licensed school nurse, etc.) The instructors were clear exactly what we were to read up on, and assigned pre-clinical assignments to demonstrate our knowledge.

So unfortunately, my experience won't help you. You need to ask your instructors for specific pre-clinical directions.
