Community College programs in California

Published

Hello everyone!

I am planning to apply to some community colleges in Northern California from a CSU. Does anyone know if community colleges (like Merritt College, Solano Community College, Chabot College, etc) accept applicants and course credits from students who attended a CSU to complete their pre-reqs? I only remember my teacher suggesting that us pre-nursing students should try to apply to those programs as well. Any info. would be appreciated!

They told me that i first have to become LVN and brige to RN.... i don't know if is true or not, but my friend want to be RN too. She told my friend that she need to be MA first then LVN Then bridge to RN. She mainly told my friend that she would not make it to LVN that she will fail because she is not educated. My friend and i walked out from there very dissapointed. Now I want to find another Community College and a positive councelor. If anydody have any info on this please advice if what she said is true or not.

by the way. you do not HAVE to be an MA or an LVN to be an RN or get into a nursing school...i dont know who had the balls telling you that but it isnt true. if you think about it freshmens right out of high school go straight to get their BSN and their RN. so i dont understand what they told you. i currently switched my major from veterinary science to becoming an RN and that was no problem, i am not becoming an LVN or a MA to be accepted. so i was just wondering why they told you that.

the only reason i can see why they told you that was because maybe they only had a LVN to RN program at that school.

...just curious...

again hope this helps...

Hi U all I'm an MA. I went to a Commutity College to get info about becoming RN. They told me that i first have to become LVN and brige to RN. To be LVN is about 28 grands. My question is Does anybody know about a Community college in Southern California by the San Fernando Valley.? Because when i went to this Community College the person that interviewed me was so negative and Rude with my friend, i don't know if is true or not, but my friend want to be RN too.

Don't go to citrus, quality of faculty is bad plus 1-2 instructors shouldn't be there, rude and bias. Try other like Whittier, Chaffey, MT SAC make sure to check their faculty, talking to grads about quality of teaching.
