Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Fall 2024

I haven't found a forum yet for this semester, re applying for the 2nd time. Extremely nervous.

Yes, I think it's because the application deadline has moved from January 31, 2024 to February 29, 2024.

I've also applied for the Fall 2024 semester day program at essex.. unfortunately, my freshman year of college in 2015 I got all c's in BIO 110, ENG 101, AND MATH .. I came to CCBC in 2023 To take the rest of my pre-reqs PSYC 101 & 103 A's, CMNS 101-  A, PHIL 240 - B, A&P I AND II B's.. my CCBC GPA is a 3.4 

TEAS OVERALL: 84.7% , Reading - 76.9%, Math - 85.3%, Science 97.7%, English 75.8%

 I am so nervous and so glad I found this thread!

Do you guys know what the science GPA minimum suppose to be?

Yeah IDK, on the admission packet, it says 2.50 for all of the nursing prerequisites and then 2.00 overall CCBC GPA. My application was verified so it just shows my calculated GPAs. My CCBC is 3.00 and combined with my low GPA from Towson. My overall GPA is 2.77 and my overall science GPA is a 2.15

I see your point same thing with me once they verified my overall GPA drop to 2.7 and science GPA to 2.3 then I contacted them. They said they don't use SHP calculated GPA they use differently so whatever was my previous GPA according to advisor is right.  I was very worried and concerned but once I received their email I am not worrying now.

Thank God. Because when I calculated my own GPA without my Towson classes and any classes that I took randomly, my GPA and science GPA was high so hopefully it will high when they calculate it.

That's good to know.. My calculated GPA on CAS from all pre reqs (not for nursing) is literally 1.9 so I'm hoping they don't use it. I'm obsessing over this.

Yea they are playing, I also want to talk to an advisor about my stuff but I cant go in person and I havent got a replied yet from the form I did.

Yes hopefully. I wasn't able function when I found out on holidays ? and school was closed for two weeks.

It was confirmed in the information session that they will not be using CAS GPA since it calculates everything. They will calculate themselves; it was also emphasized that they are solely looking at pre-reqs and TEAS score only. Essex will accept 60 students and Catonsville 50-60 (Day Program) alot of basic info thats already in the packets.

I got an email from SHP Nursing Cas saying I was below the 2.5 GPA requirement. Did anybody else get that email today?
