I can't believe it is finally here. I'm actually being commissioned today a a 1LT in the Reserves. I had posted on here a while back (somehow messed up that account and had to get a new one aka SilverNessima) with all my waffling comments and I really appreciate all the feedback I got. It has certainly helped with the long wait. Now it is here and I'm so excited.

:balloons: Congratulations LT!!!:balloons:
Do you know when you might go to OBC yet?
Hey, speaking of that...OBC is held four times a year right, (piggyback to anyone) so, I think I'm going to the autumn session, so, might see each other there! Unless of course you are already back from it by then.

OBC is in a transition and going to scrap all the different length programs and make one for all new AMEDD officers, including reservists. This transition occurs this year.

It looks like the next "regular" class starts April 8th. My AMEDD recruiter and I expect me to be in this one, but I do not officially have orders yet considering I just commissioned last week.
The Captain that officiated my commissioning said San Antonio a pretty wild, party place. She had some funny stories. :chuckle

"attention in the fob! attention in the fob! let's all give a big green welcome to 1 lt. silverrn. welcome lt. and you have a great army day"
{{what they would have announced at camp bullis (fort sam houston)}}
enjoy obc. when i was there we didn't have any free time at all, to enjoy the many wonders and splendors of san antonio. only on graduation day did some of us venture out to the riverwalk, those of us who didn't have to fly back home immediately after graduation, that is.
anyway, welcome to anc!

Hello,
While I have heard that San Antonio is wild also I have heard that while at OBC that we will not have a chance to see San Antonio!
Thanks for the link IU95 and good luck in April!! I won't be there until August.
Gen
p.s. that is of course, after hopeful successful completion of my RN
Thanks Gen. I'll let you know when I get there, although I'm a lot older now than my sailor days!

Congats. What about becoming activated for deployment, what have they told you concerning this?
If I am not mistaken the answer to that question would be a violation of OPSEC.

I am sure that your enthusiasm it easily recognized for congratulatory reasons.
p.s. maybe one of the forum moderators will create an OPSEC Sticky so people can merely refer to it when inadvertantly asking details...
