Hello Everyone,

I am applying to the columbus tech college RN program for spring 2015. I have A's in both A&P's and a B in micro. I will take the compass this month and I will take the NLN on the 17th of this month. Good Luck to everyone. Whats your grades or test scores so far?

They come on the uniforms when u order through Meridys using the code we were given.

Idk. But I don't think we have to wear uniforms the 1st day. We will find out everything for sure in orientation the day before class. I know we do have to buy navy blue scrub bottoms and plain white top. I thought the meridys uniforms (all whites) were for clinicals. But again I'm as lost as everyone else is!
Thanks. Do you know if we also need to order the navy blue scrub bottoms and white top from Meridys, or can we just buy those pieces from anywhere? Also, do you know how we should go about doing the drug screen? My acceptance letter didn't include any information or instructions regarding it.

The navy scrub bottoms and white top can be purchased anywhere. As far as the drug screen and background check I don't have a clue about. I'm guessing we will find out more at orientation. My letter nor the instructor who called me elaborated on that.

That's what's confusing -- if you read the letter they mailed everyone via "snail-mail," they actually mention something about having the drug screen and a few other things taken care of by a certain date (Jan. 16th, I believe).

BTW, when you emailed your confirmation to attend the program to Ms. Harris, did you receive a response from her? I didn't, so I just wanted to make sure that was supposed to be the case. :-)

Yep I saw that on the letter but I don't have enough information right now to go get a drug screen or background. I wouldn't know where to go to begin with lol. So I'm waiting for orientation to get that clarified. If I'm. If im not mistaken you can go to CTC website and find info regarding background checks for programs. But again I'm the type that doesn't wanna waste money or time so I'd rather wait to hear from them. The letters they sent out seem last minute and not really informative. Info about the drug screen and background check was supposed to be in the envelope with the acceptance letter. Oh and no she didn't respond to my confirmation email!

Hey guys, could you tell me how hard micro was? I'm planning on taking it in summer to avoid overload with A and p 2. Is he hard?

I'm so excited I got accepted! I got a reply from Mrs. Harris saying everything will be discussed in orientation. I can't wait to meet everyone. I plan on getting my books maybe the 5th if they have them ready by then.

Has anyone taken the health assessment form to a doctor's office to have it filled-out yet? How about the vaccination records? I noticed that in the letter, it's mentioned that these 2 items need to be completed by Jan. 16th (I.e., next Friday).

I've done mine but I have to start the hepatitis B series of shots. I talked with Mrs. Lifsey yesterday and she said everything will be discussed in orientation but the main things to look over are ordering the skills pack and uniforms. She said it would be good to start medical forms ,but we still have a little time for that. I'm not sure if that means the date will be moved or not, but I figure the sooner the better.
