Hello Everyone,

I am applying to the columbus tech college RN program for spring 2015. I have A's in both A&P's and a B in micro. I will take the compass this month and I will take the NLN on the 17th of this month. Good Luck to everyone. Whats your grades or test scores so far?

Wait a minute -- so if someone is currently taking to a pre-requisite class such as A & P during the current fall semester, they're not eligible to apply? Is this correct?

I spoke with a advisor and the nursing program director and was told by both people that this is the last semester they will accept applications from student that are currently taking a pre-req. I'm currently taking micro and will still be able to apply for spring semester.

I made a 130 on the nln (92%tile). Why are you retaking it? You want to get a higher score? How did you do this time around?

I sure hope it's not. As far as I know, the only pre-requisites we have to take are those listed on the info sheet (e.g., A&P, Microbio, Psych, etc.). BTW, for those of us who are taking pre-requisite courses this semester, do you know if the grades we earn in those courses at the end of the semester will be calculated as part of our competitive score? Or will decisions regarding acceptances/rejections be made before the end of the semester?

Now that part I don't remember asking the director but the pre reqs are needed for admission so I'm guessing the final decisions won't be made until after grades go in at the end of the semester. So we probably won't know if we get accepted until December. But like I said I'm not sure I haven't spoken to anyone about that! If you find out be sure to post it lol!

The first time I received a 114 and I take it again Monday. That's great scores you have!

When completing the Letter Of Intent for the nursing program it asks for current GPA. Are they wanting the cumulative GPA? Im confused. I have 2 different GPA's on Banner Web.

I have gone to 2 different universities, so I'm not sure how to go about calculating my GPA either. Looks like I'll be calling them this week... BTW, ShunnRN, did you re-take the NLN? How did it go? :)

I talked to an advisor yesterday and she helped me with all my unanswered questions! I'm ready to turn this application in and start the countdown!
