columbus technical college SPRING 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am applying to the columbus tech college RN program for spring 2015. I have A's in both A&P's and a B in micro. I will take the compass this month and I will take the NLN on the 17th of this month. Good Luck to everyone. Whats your grades or test scores so far?

I will be applying for the mobility program. It is the same as the ADN program. Good luck to you all.

My GPA for required courses is 3.1.....overall GPA is 3.37. Compass 99 reading, 95 writing. Not sure how many will be accepted.

My friend has her lpn and when she called ctc they told her its less competative for the lpn to rn bridge so you should do well. Good luck!!

Hi, I am also applying to compete for the RN program at CTC. I am extremely nervous and hopeful to get accepted. I previously graduated from their Pharmacy Technology program but have decided to return to pursue my 1st love which is nursing. I have done well in my pre-reqs. I have to retake my compass because my scores will expire next month which really sucks because I scored the highest possible in both reading and writing so I'm hoping to pull that off again! I'll take the compass next month. If I'm not mistaken we can turn our application in as early as September 15th?? I know only a select few will get in so I wish everyone the best of luck!
Hi. Yes, we can turn in applications at anytime between Sept. 15th and Oct. 1st. Not trying to be nosy, but I take it you have a 4.0 in your pre-reqs? :-) How did you do on the NLN?

Hey! no i dont have a 4.0 lol i wish i did! my GPA is a 3.8. i did ok on the NLN (wish i scored higher, im nervous this will keep me from being accepted, just cant go thru testing again that test was horrible lol.) i have to retake my compass test my scores expire in sept. what about you all?

I have a 3.6 gpa. nln im retaking this month. compass scores 91 and 92. What did you make on your nln exam BeautifulBeBe_E?

By chance, has anyone found out how applicants are going to be evaluated & ranked? I actually visited the school the other day and asked several departments (including Admissions) if they knew how the various application components (e.g., GPA, NLN score, Compass score) would be weighed, and nobody seems to have this information, LOL. The nursing department told me that the folks in Admissions single-handedly rank the applicants themselves, but when I talked to someone in that department, they said they didn't know anything about the ranking process. :-/

I would call the nursing director of the rn program. she is the one that gave accurate information. The advisement told me they stop taking classes for admission to the program in Spring, but when I called the director she said no we stop taking fall classes and will only take summer classes before applications goes out. I got her number I will post it in a min,

Wait a minute -- so if someone is currently taking to a pre-requisite class such as A & P during the current fall semester, they're not eligible to apply? Is this correct?
