Columbus GA New Grad Wondering about Salary.

Published

I was just wondering what New Grads with an RN BSN will get offered as pay in Columbus, GA. I've been noticing that salary varies widely all over the U.S. and figured I would ask this in the Georgia section.

I've also noticed that RNs are complaining about not getting jobs around the country because of not having experience. How is this in Columbus,GA?

Does anyone have any thoughts on St. Francis vs. Columbus Regional? I was thinking about volunteering during this summer before nursing school just to get acclimated with the hospital setting, because I've only ever worked in a restaurant. LOL

Any advice would be appreciated!!

I don't know any details about Columbus, but I will add that the OP should definitely look into volunteer opportunities. Then I suggest working at the hospital while in nursing school (most places will hire you as a patient care tech after 1 semester of NS). In Atlanta the job market for new grads is extremely tight, & hospital experience is valued more highly than academic accomplishments.

Definitely.

Anybody have any updates as to the starting salaries for hospitals around the Columbus Area?
