Hi everyone!
First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted into the next starting cohort for this program!
I am starting this super early because I have already begun to freak out lol.
Is anyone applying for the MDE MDE/DNP or MDE/PHD program for 2017?
This is my dream program !!
I am prepping for the GRE at this point which I am taking in August. It has been a long arduous road for me to say the least and I am ready to send my app off with a prayer. Any advice from current/previous students of this program or applicants welcome! And to my fellow applicants what other programs are you applying to? And most importantly good luck to everyone. The application opens August of 2016
Submit a Columbia University review today!
You can review your school as a Student, Alumni, Parent, Pre-Student, Employee, or Other. Act fast, winners will be announced next
Another MDE/DNP Psych here! I am so excited! I am from a field not at all healthcare-related, and am so grateful for Columbia's holistic assessment of their applicants. :)
I wonder how the whole "priority deadline" thing factored in to things. FWIW, I submitted before the priority deadline...
I will look for the Facebook group!
I live in Washington Heights, about 20 blocks north of Columbia, and know a really fantastic broker -- he knows the good buildings, good landlords, good areas. He's found two apartments for me, and has helped lots of my friends too. I love Washington Heights. Feel free to throw off-campus housing questions my way.
Congrats to all who received good news today, and for those of you on the wait list or who received no's, I send you all positive thoughts and good wishes for good news in the future!
Been lurking the thread since August. Decided to make an account since I got into the MDE program!
It's most likely that I will take the offer, but I will still weigh my other options in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to meet everyone! I will be going to the Visiting Day next month! :)
I was accepted! Coming from California, hoping to find nearby off-campus housing. Not sure where to start with the house-hunt process. One or two-bedroom apartments maybe.. Something decently affordable if that exists, hah. I would appreciate any advice!

Accepted to the MDE/DNP for Psych! If I choose Columbia, I will be moving from Seattle and have no clue where to start for researching housing. I am doing an east coast tour later this month to visit and hopefully that will give me a better idea on where to start! Congrats to everyone who was accepted, exciting times!
