So where are the potential 2008 Columbia ETPers at? I think a handful of regulars around here have Columbia on their list of apps, so heres a thread to get us through until notifications in Spring 2008. If you'd like, reply here and let us know which specialty you are trying for! I just submitted my app online for Acute Care...Good luck everyone! ;)

I'm in CA and I got my letter today!! Accepted for the FNP track :) WOOHOO. This has been a great week- 2 acceptances arrived in the mail. Good luck to all.

Congratulations RedHead! :yeah: Are you located in OC by chance? Hopefully I'll be able to head home in a few hours and something will be waiting for me.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has been accepted so far!

I'm in California also and I'm getting quite frustrated because I have not received my letter yet!! It's especially nerve wrecking since others in California have received theirs. This is torture! I just checked my mail and NOTHING!

I called the admissions office and they told me letters were mailed out Monday or Tuesday.

I applied to Boston College as well as Columbia. Letters for that program were mailed out two weeks ago and the distance problem of living in California was compounded by a mailing problem. It never came. I called and they re-mailed my letter on Monday. I still today don't know if I got in there. Getting nervous that the same thing would happen with Columbia I called and found out they just mailed mine on Wednesday.

Two weeks of anticipating the mail only to be disappointed is TORTURE! I feel like I'm in that movie Groudhog Day where he keeps reliving the same day over and over and over again. Will it ever end??? ***Vent***

Alas, it will end. I'm SURE you will get yours tomorrow! And mine will probably come by Monday. I just keep telling myself to do things that will take my mind off of it, which probably excludes coming on here, something that I have yet to be successful at. At least it is the weekend and time to have some fun!

Hi everyone! I just received notification of my acceptance in a really roundabout way. I haven't gotten the official letter yet. (My permanent address is in California, and I'm going to school in NY).

Oscar sent me an e-mail with my financial aid package this afternoon, so that was a pretty good indication that I got in.

I haven't received any financial aid info either...Hopefully soon! I can't stomach 90k for the first year without help!

hey there everyone,

to answer lovetotravel - no financial aid package yet. I didn't fill out my fafsa until January 12th or 13th. I wonder if that will delay things a bit.

and fnp4me - I'm from boston originally, now live in the most beautiful neighborhood in sunnyside queens. originally went to emerson college for fine arts bachelors. took my pre-reqs through u of phoenix online which was super expensive and sort of a weird distance learning experience but was the only way to manage it with my full time day job.

and btw, I still have all my fingers and toes crossed for those of you who haven't gotten letters yet. I know you guys are going crazy. May you have super fast letter carriers who bring you good news!

Fellow SoCal folk who are still waiting...I did not receive anything in the mail today, let me know if you do. If I don't receive it tomorrow, I may just hop on a JetBlue flight out there.

Aww, sorry Asherah. I'm on the same boat here. There's no telling when. I've heard the letters have gone out on Monday then Tuesday then Wednesday... then someone got their financial aid award before their letter. What a mess! Well, all we can do is hang in there and try to stay occupied with other stuff. Yeah, right. Who am I kidding? :icon_roll

it's a great way to meet faculty, see some potential classmates, and get your bearings around campus before you actually get here. I highly recommend you coming to visitation day!

And who knows, I may get to meet some of you!

I'm a ETP student right now, so I've got some insight :)

Does anyone know how to go about getting onto the ETP Accepted Applicants' web site in the admissions area of the Columbia website? I thought it might be the pin and password for the online application, but alas it is not. I'm not sure if it is actually for all accepted applicants...maybe just those who definitively decide to go there and send in their deposits. Hmmm...
