Hey, I wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the DNP program at Columbia. Good luck for everyone

Hi guys! I just called into the admissions office asking if there is a new estimated timeframe for when post-BSN DNP applicants should expect to hear back. She said as of right now she's unsure and they're still waiting on faculty to finish going through applications. It will be further delayed since MDE decisions haven't been fully released yet. She said there are just a lot of good applicants this year :)!

Ahh thanks for the update! Did she say how many applications there are for the psych dnp program this year? LOL when I asked in info sessions, they had said 60-80 on average. 
also, further delayed means maybe end of March?

Interesting, I was told via email this Monday that "Decisions should be released within the next week or so. ". But would not be surprised if it was pushed back further!

Was that specifically for psych or in general the bsn-dnp applications?

I applied to the FNP BSN-DNP program so I'm guessing it may be applicable to this particular program. However, I wouldn't give too much weight to this comment because they've pushed back expected time frames for decisions in the past and looks like MDE decisions haven't been fully released yet either. I'll keep y'all updated! Trying my best to stay busy with other things so I can keep my mind off of this ❤️

Good luck, I hope we all get in to our desired programs! Yeah, I'm trying to keep my mind off things too but there's so much anxiety LOL! So I'm assuming they wait till MDE decisions are done, to release dnp decisions?

Hm, I didn't ask about how many applicants there were or specify what I applied to. On Feb 19th, they emailed me back saying we should expect decisions by the end of the month but we're past that by a good bit 😞 I hope your email was correct!!

No updates, right? Just commenting so we can all worry together 😂

They must have posted all of the MDE decisions by now.
