That is short notice! I'm from out of state and would have to make travel accommodations if asked to interview

In an earlier email they said October 15, 16, 22 & 23. Looking at last year's thread, seems like they didn't send out invites until a week before.

No, they're speaking of the email that notified each of us when we passed the initial review, meaning our applications are then forwarded to the admissions committee.
