Me too. My heart dropped into my stomach when I read they might be changing the program to DNP. I called, and they said they're not sure yet, but it will be reflected on the application when it comes out in mid-August. I forgot to ask him if the pre-reqs are the same though. I've spent the last few months taking the few classes I need, so I sincerely hope so! Anyone more seasoned have any insight on this?
I'm obsessing too! I REALLY don't want them to change the program to DNP. The person I called also said to check back end of July or August. Are you going to call again about the pre-reqs? I have all the classes for the ones listed on the current website, so I'm hoping they don't change the pre-reqs too much.
Hope this works out for us!
The new site is up!
Entry to Practice Program (Combined BS/MS) | Columbia University School of Nursing
What is "Writing Intensive"? I took a few writing classes at my university so I'm pretty sure they should satisfy the requirement... but I suppose I'll call tomorrow to double check. It would be pretty lame if none of my three writing classes fulfilled this.
Hmm... I can't seem to find out how to edit my post.
Now I'm nervous again; I called Columbia just now and was told that the program still is not finalized because they are trying to submit their application to the state of New York to see if they are able to remain as an MSN program or have to turn into a DNP one.
So in the end, it seems like we do have to wait until August or so to find out. I am so anxious!

Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.
Anyone else?!
