I was surprised that there didn't seem to be a thread for this year's applicants to Columbia's ETP program. So I thought I would start one. The information session was today, but I wasn't able to go. I was hoping someone else went and would be able to post any admission statistics or tips for the personal statement they gave.
mfs298, thank you for sharing. I am sure your concerns are ones that many of us have. I am curious if the FA officer had anything more to add to the process of getting private loans. Does Columbia offer any assistance/advice on obtaining private loans, or have any private school based funding that students can apply for? Some schools endorse certain private funding companies and some do not...was there any more detail given to you, or did if feel like, " you are on your own with that"?
It doesn't specifically say, but the information did come in an email.

Hi Everyone! I just found this thread. I was accepted to the ETP and midwifery specialty. My heart almost stopped when I saw the acceptance! Is anyone going to the in-person open house in March? I'm looking forward to meeting all those fellow midwifery students (and everyone else as well!). I'm still waiting to hear back from SUNY downstate. Columbia and Downstate are my two top choices. Is anyone else waiting to hear as well?
