Columbia Basin College 2017

Haven't seen anything recent for CBC so starting a new thread. Trying to get an idea of what score is needed to get into the Nurse program? If anyone is in program now or applying would love to chat.

Just took the teas test the other day and scored 82.7%. Finishing up my prerequisites this quarter and hoping to apply to the program by the March 1st deadline.

Anyone out there applying as well or have an idea of what would be a good score this year? Thanks!

No i just checked...nothing yet. You?? Will post when I get something! - Also I live in Richland so it doesn't have far to travel. Maybe tomorrow.

Nothing yet for me either! Have you guys taken medical terminology? I was thinking about taking it this summer if I get accepted so that I can get a refresher on vocab and stuff. Thoughts??

Hey guys. I have not got anything yet either in the mail. I am hoping to hear soon!

No I only took the required prerequisite courses. Amazes me medical terminology is not required though. Definitely seems like a good idea if you have the time/money. I just noticed they changed a requirement for the communications credit for the program for 2018/19. Something about it needing to be a 5 credit class.

It has been a while since I took Med term, but I think it would be a nice refresher though.

Was the course material fairly difficult? I'm thinking about just buying the book to read and do the online course that goes with it.

I took it in Bellingham, WA and it was fairly easy, it was more independent study.

Nothing's in mail today for me, anyone else get anything?

I have not got anything yet either!

Does anyone currently work as a CNA?

Has anyone contacted the nursing department if they will send out letters soon?

I heard that the department picked up applications and index scores earlier this week. I would think letters would be sent out by Monday maybe?
